Thank you for your interest in our mission field. We are Michael and DeAnna Staley, missionaries to the US military overseas. The Lord has given us a burden for the spiritual needs of the men and women who serve our country. Our military men and women have most of their needs meet by the US Government, but many times the spiritual needs are left unmet. Our desire is to establish churches outside military bases to reach our US military men and women serving overseas. Included in this packet you will find our testimonies, calling, ministry experience, references, and our ministry goals. We want to thank you for taking the time to consider helping us fulfill the call God has on our lives in fulfilling the great commission.

Michael’s Testimony

I was born and raised in Ohio. During my childhood years my parents saw to it that I was always in church. Even though I was in church every Sunday and heard the gospel many times I never asked Jesus in my heart and life. It was not until I joined the Air Force and was sent to England that I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. We began to attend an Independent Baptist church outside the base. I was saved on September 2, 1990 at Victory Baptist Church in Steeple Aston, England, while serving in the United States Air Force. I followed the Lord in believer’s baptism the following Sunday.

DeAnna’s Testimony

I was born and raised in Wishek, ND. I grew up in a good family and went to a Lutheran Church. I never heard about being “born again” or “being saved.” After high school I joined the United States Air Force. While stationed at RAF Upper Heyford, England, I worked with a man who was always witnessing to me and inviting me to his church, which was a church started by a missionary to the military. For a long time I struggled between my worldly life style and knowing I needed Jesus. During this time I met my husband. We went back to the states to get married and after we came back our church was in revival. The last day of the revival the preacher preached from Matthew 7 and when he got to verse 23 which says, “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you” it was as if I was the only one in the room. The Holy Spirit convicted me so heavily I knew I needed to get saved! That day I asked Jesus to save me and my life has never been the same.

Michael’s Call to Ministry

Three months after I got saved, on December 10, 1990, I surrendered to the call to preach. After receiving my call I preached my first sermon during a watch night service. It was during a Jubilee meeting in 1993 at Hahn, Germany in Bro. Jeff Alverson’s church that I surrendered my life to missions.
