Dear Friends, Greetings from Richmond, VA. This has been an interesting furlough but we have still experienced the blessings of the Lord. We were able to find an affordable and reliable vehicle for our daughter Ally. We rejoice to tell you that she has been accepted into Liberty University and will begin spring 2023. Please do keep her in your prayers as she is becoming a little more independent each day. God has answered your prayers for Kevin who has fully recovered from surgery. Kevin’s parents have been recovering from Covid and his father from pneumonia also. Thankfully, Kevin was able to devote time to care for them. They continue to improve, regaining some of their independence. Please continue to pray for Kristina and her mom, for each surgery will be successful and a speedy recovery. While reporting at our home church one young man made a public profession of faith. We also had the opportunity to witness to a Muslim from Bosnia while visiting a local market. It was a wonderful surprise to be able to communicate in a familiar language as well as a great encouragement to us that God still has a plan for us in Croatia. The gentleman was quite inquisitive as to who Christ was and if He was, in fact, God in the flesh. We shared scripture with him to ponder and look forward to talking to him again. The reports from Camp Green Valley have been encouraging. Camp was filled to capacity each time and despite a bit of illness everyone still enjoyed themselves and finished the week in good health. We believe also that the Lord is confirming in our hearts to plant a church in Pula. Please pray for us as we look for housing to accommodate our family and pets, a location that would be close to the city and people, with a price that is affordable. Our experience has taught us that God provides what is needed in His timing. As we follow His leading He will assure us each step of the way. Praises & Prayer Needs: For safety while traveling and good health. Faith to follow God’s leading in a new area of ministry. For nationals who would work with us to plant a church in Pula. She described for us a time when God saved her life. She believed it was because of the sacraments which had been prayed over her. We expressed that we believed God did perform a miracle and spared her life but not because of the sacraments. Kevin told her that the Lord wanted her to meet us so we could share the gospel with her. God does still work in miraculous ways but salvation is free to those who ask and believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ paying the price for our sins. Please continue to pray that the Lord will open her eyes to this spiritual truth. We are diligently searching for a house or apartment in or near the city of Pula. Our target for being out of our current house is August 15. It is important that we keep an open mind as we seek the Lord’s will for us in Pula. There have been obstacles that have risen but nothing which cannot be overcome by faith. But the Lord has already blessed us in specific ways. Our van passed inspection; we only needed to replace the battery. Kevin has been able to share the gospel in very personal ways three times. And God has provided contacts who can help us find accommodations in Pula. Kevin had hoped to be involved in the camp ministry this year but it is now necessary that we focus all of our time and energy on our relocating and beginning a new ministry. Praise the Lord for providing an excellent team of volunteers to continue the work in our absence. The last report from Kevin’s dad is that he is doing well enough to no longer need physical therapy. Now the doctors can focus on his other needs. They have been monitoring spots in each lung which recently seem to have increased in size. He will begin radiation therapy in July. Thankfully he is doing well and is in good spirits. We appreciate your continued prayers for him. Our son has an opportunity to attend youth camp in the US with the youth from our sending church. If the Lord would lead you to contribute to his travel expense please designate the gift to “Noah’s Airfare”. The cost of his ticket is $1,100.00. Please pray specifically for us to find a home to meet our needs in God’s perfect timing; that we will be sensitive to the Lord’s leading; for strength as well as courage to take each step by faith. Thank you for remaining faithful in your support, both prayerfully and financially. Your ministry extension in Croatia, Kevin & Kristina Brown Mercy & Grace for Croatia Jonah 4:2 b
