January 2022 Letter

Dear Pastor, Ten years ago we agreed on a piece of property on which to build our church and ministry. We did not know it at the time but churches are not offered bank loans and in many cases even bank accounts here in the Philippines. Due to not having much of a financial history, we were offered an installment plan on the property through the developer of the subdivision. The best offer we received at the time was an installment plan at 19% interest. We hesitantly agreed believing the Lord was leading us to move forward. We had intended to accept the terms while we established a financial history so that once sufficient time had passed, we could refinance with the bank at 6%. By doing this we would lower our monthly payment from $1,000 per month to roughly $250. We did our due diligence and got all of our records and registrations in order to present to banking institutions. Once submitted we were informed that churches are not eligible for loans in the Philippines, forcing us to maintain the $1,000 monthly payments to the developer. As of today we have paid $76,900 toward the agreed price of $43,100. We still owe $25,500. At this rate, we will pay an additional $70,000 if we continue with the monthly arrangements. However, we are no longer able to make that monthly payment. We have three real options: Pay the land in full with no penalty, sell the land or return the land back to the developer. Everything we have built on the land will be lost as per the contract. So what has changed? Since the covid pandemic, the cost of living has skyrocketed here in our area. Since 2021 our electricity has increased 300% and is now one of the most expensive in the world. The cost of food has also increased 150%. We are asking God one last time to show Himself strong in a miraculous way. Please watch this short video to add context to this letter. I am available for questions and will be very transparent. Special Prayer Request July 2023

We are thankful to report that 3 of our supporting churches have already responded! One supporting church in Alabama has sent $3,000. A church in South Texas has given $1,500 and another in North Texas has sent $1,000. We've also received $500 from a family in central Oklahoma. We are so very thankful to these churches and individuals who have answered the leading of the Holy Spirit. We are still in need of $19,500.00. We decided it was best to request the help of our supporters rather than posting on social media outlets. After much prayer, we have decided to allow our supporters a little more time to respond to the need so as to enjoy the blessings of their contribution.
